Day 1. Arrival in Ulaanbaatar<\/span><\/strong><\/h4>\n

Upon your arrival in Ulaanbaatar, meet our team and transfer to the hotel. Depending on the arrival time, can have a half-day city tour with visiting the featuring key highlights. Visit the Gandan Monastery, home to the largest indoor Buddha statue and the center of the Buddhists of Mongolia. Explore the National Museum to discover Mongolia’s cultural journey from the Stone Age to the present day. Lastly, soak in the atmosphere of Sukhbaatar Square, also known as Chingis Khaan Square, a central gathering place rich in history and significance.<\/span><\/em><\/strong><\/h4>\n

Day 2. <\/span><\/strong>flight to Murun and explore Khuvsgul lake<\/span><\/strong><\/h4>\n

At Murun airport you will be met by one of our representatives: driver, English speaking tour guide, and cook. We will drive from airport to Khuvsgul lake which is the second most voluminous freshwater lakes in Asia. It is located in the northwest of Mongolia, near the Russian border, at the foot of the eastern Sayan mountains. Lake Khovsgol’s 380 cubic km of water make it the fourteenth largest freshwater lake in the world and second largest in Central Asia by volume, with over 1% of the world’s fresh water. At its deepest, the lake dives 262 meters. Ninety-six rivers and streams empty into the lake, but only the Egiin River exits the lake. The Egiin flows southeast until it joins the Selenge River, which flows through one of Mongolia’s most densely populated areas on its way to Lake Baikal.100 km driving on paved road to reach the lake and enjoy the spectacular view of the area. Overnight accommodation will be in a ger (L-D)<\/span><\/strong><\/em><\/h4>\n

Day 3. <\/span>Drive to the Ulaan Uul village.<\/span><\/strong><\/h4>\n

After breakfast, we start driving to the Ulaan-Uul village, located 171km from northwest of Murun city. There are several rivers and mountain passes en route. Picnic lunch and many small stops for photographing.\u00a0 Overnight accommodation will be in a tent or wooden cabin.\u00a0(B-L-D)<\/span><\/strong><\/em><\/h4>\n

Day 4. <\/span><\/strong><\/em>Tsaagan Nuur village\u00a0<\/span><\/strong><\/h4>\n

Early morning drive to Tsaagan Nuur village. Check in at the Army headquarters and show our passports and document permission for the Taiga region. <\/span><\/strong><\/em>Then we will meet the nomad family supply us with the horses, and reindeer to go to Tsaatan family. The Family truly enjoy meeting guests. We will eat homemade Mongolian traditional food and can drink mare\u2019s milk, for those who would like to try this very Mongolian drink. Sleep in ger just like a Mongolian! Overnight accommodation will be in ger.\u00a0(B-L-D)<\/span><\/strong><\/em><\/h4>\n

Day 5 <\/span><\/strong><\/em>Horse or Reindeer riding to the Family<\/span><\/strong><\/h4>\n

Our staff will pack our gear (you need to sort out your unnecessary things and leave it to the car). Our driver will remain in the village with our supplies not needed for this part of the trip. We start riding to East Taiga (South Edge of Siberia). We need to ride for 7 hours including lunch break. Riding in the Taiga is exciting and challenging. If needed, we make sure you are will lead by very experienced guides. <\/span><\/strong><\/em>We arrive at Tsagaan Nuur village to meet with the Darkhad ethnic shaman. <\/span><\/strong><\/em>The scenery, mountains, streams, tundra area, is spectacular. There are many wild flowers, birds and if we are lucky, we will see wild red colored deer. When we arrive at the teepees of the reindeer families, you will be welcomed and made to feel at home. We will spend the next two days, experiencing Tsaatan life. Overnight accommodation will be in a teepee.\u00a0(B-L-D)<\/span><\/strong><\/em><\/h4>\n

Day 6.<\/span><\/strong><\/em>Taiga<\/span><\/strong><\/h4>\n

Full day of rest. We experience Tsaatan\/reindeer herder\u2019s everyday life and can ride a reindeer and help with any chores, from milking. Cheese making and even trying to teach the children some Western games. Overnight accommodation will be in a teepee.\u00a0(B-L-D)<\/span><\/strong><\/em><\/h4>\n

Day 7. <\/span><\/strong>Start our riding back to Tsaagan Nuur.<\/span><\/strong><\/em><\/h4>\n

After 2 days of experiencing Tsaatan reindeer family\u2019s life and wild untouched Taiga\u2019s land, we say good bye our Mongolian family ride back to Tsaagan Nuur. Swim in the lake if warm. Overnight in Ger.\u00a0(B-L-D).<\/span><\/strong><\/em><\/h4>\n

Day 8. <\/span><\/strong>Drive back to Moron.<\/span><\/strong><\/em><\/h4>\n

There are several rivers and mountain passes en route. Picnic lunch and many small stops for photographing.\u00a0 Overnight accommodation will be in a hotel\u00a0(B-L-D)<\/span><\/strong><\/em><\/h4>\n

Day 9. After breakfast you will driven to the local airport with your guide for your return flight to Ulaanbaatar.\u00a0(B).<\/span><\/strong><\/em><\/h4>\n

Day 10. Departure Day.\u00a0<\/span><\/strong><\/em>
